Satellite & Internet TV

A person who has never viewed internet TV on a computer does not know what fun he is really missing. It is obvious as until a person has not tasted something better, he may not come to know how bad his present food is. It is a great fun viewing internet television as there are thousands of channels available from all across the world. Before this the people used to depend on few basic methods of viewing their favorite programs on television, namely as follows:-

• TVRO or Television Receive Only system of satellite television which uses a C or Ku band of frequency to transmit their programs.
• OTA which stands or Over The Air broadcast system marked the beginning of the television era. The first transmission was made on the 7th of April 1927 in Washington D.C. This system was followed by the satellite television system. It has become extinct in many of the countries especially the developed countries, but is still followed in many of the developing countries.
• DBS or better known as the Direct Broadcast System is counted among the most modern system in existence today. It provides the customers with about hundred of channels of various genres such as news, music, movies etc. The channels are provided in packages to the customers. Moreover the introduction of this system also replaced the ugly looking giant dish with a smaller in size antenna that can be placed or better say installed anywhere in the house.

There are few options using which a customer can view Satellite TV on their PC. Some of these are stated below:-

• The first option is the use of USB TV tuner which can be plugged into the USB of a personal computer. This enables the customer to view satellite TV on their computer.
• Using a PCTV card is another option that can be used. It is one of the most popular methods in existence today.
